Make.com and Zapier.com are automation platforms that allow applications to be connected to automate business processes without writing code. These tools help entrepreneurs and technicians save time by eliminating repetitive tasks and simplifying the integration of different services.

What needs do these platforms address?

Automation platforms like Make.com and Zapier address several needs, including :

  • Automating repetitive tasks: Synchronizing data between different applications, automatically sending emails, updating a database.
  • Application integration: Connecting a CRM, ERP, accounting tool, and messaging service.
  • Managing notifications: Sending Slack or SMS notifications based on predefined events.
  • Workflow automation: Creating validation pipelines, task management, and automated reminders.

Prerequisites

Before getting started with these platforms and connect them to peoplefone APP, consider the following prerequisites :

  • Peoplefone account with credit and an API key
  • Make.com or Zapier account: Register and configure your workspace.
  • Access to the relevant applications: Ensure you have the necessary credentials and permissions for the applications you wish to connect.
  • Understanding automation needs: Clearly identify the processes to automate to optimize platform usage.
  • Understanding APIs and Webhooks : While not required, a good understanding of REST APIs and webhooks can help create more advanced integrations.

Use Cases

  • Sending SMS from a third-party application whenever an action is triggered (e.g., new order in an e-commerce system, campaign for a special event or promotion, reminder a meeting or a due date, …).
  • Integration with an in-house Application: Connecting to an internal ERP or CRM via API to store call data in a CRM or database system for reporting, triggering follow-up tasks based on call.
  • Call Routing: Integrate Make.com or Zapier with peoplefone HOSTED PBX system to route incoming calls based on customer data retrieved from a CRM, such as forwarding VIP customers to priority support agents.
  • Voicemail and recorded call Transcription: When a voicemail is received or a recorded call is ended, transcribe it using a speech-to-text API and send the transcription or a resume via email or another communication channel.
  • Missed Call notifications: Send an automatic SMS when a call is missing or create a task in the CRM to contact the caller.

Check the credit

To be able to use an API service, make sure you have credit on your account.

Add credit

If you don’t have credit, you can buy credit by clicking on “Buy / Order” and select “Credit

Choice the amount of credit to charge and “Add to Cart

Checkout by clicking on “Next

Select the payment method and process it.
